DUTIES OF ELECTED OFFICERS
Chairperson(s) – Up to two Term: 1 - 2 years
Average Time Commitment: 5-8hrs/month
a. Preside at all meetings of the organization and the executive board. Approximately two meetings per month
b. Be a member ex-officio of all committees except the committee on nominations.
c. Perform such other duties as may be prescribed in these Bylaws of assigned him (her) by the organization or by the executive board.
b. Coordinate the work of the officers and committees, in order that the principles may be supported.
c. Attend meetings called by the Chairperson(s)'s Council or arrange for his duly elected alternate to attend.
d. Inform Special Education Department of meeting times, dates and places for announcement.
e. Work with the secretary in development of an agenda for each PAC meeting;
f. Preside at all the PAC meetings;
g. Appoint, when necessary, subcommittees to carry out functions;
h. Cancel meetings depending on weather conditions or unusual circumstances.

a. Act in absence of the Chairperson;
b. Perform all duties as assigned by the chairperson;
c. Develop and coordinate parent information/education programs and sessions.

Secretary Term – 1 - 2 years
Average Time Commitment: 5-8hrs/month
a. Act as a recorder at each PAC meeting and prepare the minutes of each meeting;
b. Have charge of all books, documents and papers as the PAC determines to be necessary to their business;
c. Notify all members of meeting schedule
d. Distribute all PAC business information to all members including meeting agendas, meeting minutes and upcoming events
e. Work with Troy School District (TSD) in keeping current information available on the TSD website.
f. Perform all duties incidental to the office of secretary.
g. Shall be responsible for media relations.
h. Update website on a timely basis with meeting minutes, events, meeting dates, etc. The Secretary may defer this task to another Board Member based on level of knowledge of the website.

Treasurer Term – 1 - 2 years
Average Time Commitment: 5-8hrs/month
a. Have custody of all of the funds of the organization.
b. Keep a full and accurate account of receipts and expenditures.
c. Make disbursements in accordance with the approved budget, as authorized by the organization or the Executive Board.
d. Present a financial statement at every meeting and at other times when requested by the Executive Board.
e. Make a yearly report at the annual meeting.
f. File any required documents.
g. Treasurer's accounts shall be examined annually by an auditor or an auditing committee of not less than three members satisfied that the Treasurer's annual report is correct, shall sign a statement of that fact at the end of the report. The Executive Board shall appoint the auditing committee at least two weeks before the annual meeting.

Elected by the Executive Board. This is a volunteer position for a person(s) interested in coordinating events for the PAC for major events including but not limited to:
Disability Awareness Workshop
Resource Night
Autism Awareness Night
Pop up Picnics
a. Shall be entitled to one vote with the Executive Board
b. Shall be responsible for recruiting for help with the assistance of the Executive Board.
c. Shall represent the PAC in a positive manner.
d. Shall coordinate with the Secretary for all related media and “advertising”.
